Indic Wisdom, specializing in wood-pressed oils, and Proost, a homegrown beer startup, have raised substantial funds to drive growth in their respective sectors.

Indic Wisdom Raises $2M for Wood-Pressed Oils

Indic Wisdom, a Mumbai-based manufacturer of wood-pressed oils, secured $2 million in its pre-Series A funding round led by Rockstud Capital.

The funds will help Indic Wisdom:

  • Expand its product range, including cooking oils, multipurpose oils, and specialty oils.
  • Invest further in R&D and market presence.

Founded by Prajakta Khare and Kaustubh Khare, Indic Wisdom uses traditional lakdi ghani extraction methods, ensuring oils retain their nutrients, antioxidants, and essential vitamins. This positions them as a healthier alternative to refined oils.

Key Market Insights:

  • The global wood-pressed oil market, valued at $27.1 billion in 2021, is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.7% through 2028.
  • India’s market is projected to rise from $9.1 billion in 2024 to $15.6 billion by 2032, driven by increasing health awareness.

  • Strengthen production capacity and expand market reach.
  • Launch new product variants and build the brand further.

Founded in 2017 by Tarun Bhargava and Vijay P. Sharma, Proost produces beer using locally sourced raw materials, ensuring authenticity and quality.

Proost's Growth Highlights:
