Two innovative startups, BioPrime Agrisolutions and Nayan Tech, have raised significant funds to drive growth in their industries: agriculture technology and smart city solutions.
BioPrime Agrisolutions has raised $6 million in a Series A funding round. This round was led by Edaphon, a Belgium-based firm, marking its first investment in Asia. Omnivore and Inflexor Ventures also participated equally in this round.
The funding will help BioPrime develop new bio fungicides and bioinsecticides. These products will protect crops from pests and help them survive extreme weather like heat and drought. The company also plans to launch its products in North America, Brazil, and Southeast Asia.
Founded by Renuka Karandikar, Amit Shinde, and Shekhar Bhosle, BioPrime creates biostimulants that help crops grow better using small biomolecules. Their platform, BioNexus, has already identified over 170 new microbial strains.
Nayan Tech, a company that focuses on smart city solutions, has raised $2 million in a pre-Series A round. This round was led by BEENEXT. Other investors include We Founder Circle, Venture Catalysts, Lets Venture, and FAAD Capital.
Nayan Tech uses AI-powered dashcams, drones, and smart apps to monitor traffic, infrastructure, and driver behavior. Over 17,000 drivers are already using its technology. Nayan helps cities improve road safety and manage urban infrastructure better. The company has an order book worth Rs 35 crore and plans to expand internationally.
